Navigation Upgrade to a 2003 Range Rover Vogue
As with many of these vehicles, when the vehicle came in with an audio problem we knew straight away what it was. Due to age (and a common fault) the passenger side boot area is susceptible to water ingress. This doesn’t help much when all the modules for the audio system are fitted in this area and many times we find them ‘swimming’ in water.
To cure the problem we removed the factory components and replaced them with an Alpine touch screen navigation system which also gave Bluetooth, DVD playback as well as Cd’s and full iPod connectivity. We also installed an Audison SR5 amplifier to replace the water damaged factory unit which powered all the speakers in the vehicle.
The customer also added an Alpine digital TV tuner so he could watch his favourite programs when stationary.
