2015 Audi A6 Audio Upgrade

After purchasing this lovely vehicle, the customer was rather disappointed with the audio sound he was getting. Being a musician he knew a good sound and this isn’t what Audi were offering with this A6 Quattro.  His main aim was to receive higher quality, more clarity, accuracy and definition.

After numerous trips to our premises to listen to different speakers and music styles he made a decision.  For the front doors we supplied and installed Hertz Mille Legend ML1650 mid bass drivers and the ML700 mid range speaker. For the top of the dash, we installed a pair of Hertz ML280 35mm tweeters which were angled slightly to aim the sound better.  These 6 speakers were run actively from 2 Hertz HDP4 amplifiers.  The other 2 channels were utilised to power a Hertz ES200 8″ subwoofer in a slot ported enclosure.

The signal into the 2 amplifiers was from the factory deck via an Audison BitONE.  The BitONE allows us to equalise the poor signal quality from the factory deck. This then allows us to set up time alignment features aswell as different EQ settings for the driver.

We traveled from Rotherham to get these guys to fit some reversing sensors to my wife’s car, I’d been before and they were very professional for both alarms and a radio on my van and this time as before they were brilliant. The work was completed ahead of time and one of the guys came out and spent 10 minutes explaining EXACTLY how parking sensors worked which was great as I hadn’t a clue. Was there today, 18th May at 8am to have the front components on my ford focus changed to a pair of Audison Prima’s, along with some sound deadening anf wave diffusers fitted.
Got there and the staff couldnt have been more helpful or polite. Told me it would he ready by midday. After 2 and half hrs i went to have a look to see how the work was going and the technicians were almost done with it even talking to me during finishing off the install to advise me on future upgrades im thinking of and how to achieve the result im after.
Overall im very impressed, can’t reccommend them enough and im definitely going back for the rear speakers and headunit, amp subwoofer setup in a few months.
They even vaccumed the car after they had finished and went through the setip of my current stock stereo to maoe sure the new speakers were set right, advising me on how to adjust the headunit to ensure optimal burn in for the new speakers.
